"I am the bread of life. Your ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, yet they died. But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which anyone may eat and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”

Welcome to St. Anthony!
Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church is a small and friendly parish in SE Portland—just off SE Powell and 82nd Ave. The staff and I hope that our worship, programs and services will help you and your family grow in your relationship with God. We also hope that you encounter St. Anthony as not just a place to come on Sunday, but as a set of relationships that have a positive impact on your life.
Rev. Patrick Donoghue, Pastor

But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” - Joshua 24:15

The first effect of the Sacrament of Matrimony is the gift of the bond between the spouses. “The consent by which the spouses mutually give and receive one another is sealed by God himself”
(CCC, no. 1639). “The marriage bond has been established by God himself in such a way that a marriage concluded and consummated between baptized persons can never be dissolved” (CCC, no. 1640).
The grace of this Sacrament perfects the love of husband and wife, binds them together in fidelity, and helps them welcome and care for children. Christ is the source of this grace and he dwells with the spouses to strengthen their covenant promises, to bear each other’s burdens with forgiveness and kindness, and to experience ahead of time the “wedding feast of the Lamb” (Rev 19:9).
